WOMEN'S PAN AMERICAN CUP

Marcos Kwiek, coach of Dominican Republic: “At the beginning of the tournament there is always some stress, but I think we had a good start. We played well focused which is the important thing. We knew the Cuban team was a young one, so we have to press them and everything went well.”

Joel Olazabal, coach of Cuba: “The team started somehow restrained. We have many young players who are new to the international competitions. What we did was to give them opportunity to play and enjoy being on the court. We have a lot of deficiencies to correct and make the adjustments little by little.”
