Claudio Torres, coach of Mexico: "We have a combination of young and veteran players. This tournament will serve as preparation for the pre-Olympic in August and we come here with the target of being among the best five selections, being in the quarterfinals. The group is strong, it will be an excellent learning experience for young people, where growth has to be mandatory due to the quality of volleyball that will be played."

Francisco Cruz, coach of Trinidad and Tobago: "The goal is simple, that the players begin to participate in the high level competitions. The majority do not have previous competitions in the minor divisions, without practice matches, so the priority will be to take the pressure off and have fun."

Antonio Rizola, coach of Colombia: "The level of play of the Pan American Cup increases every year. For Colombia the important thing is to be among the top classified, we know the quality of the other teams, like the United States that play at a high level, but we will do our job".

Robert Browning, coach of the United States: "We do not like to talk about expectations, the goal we have is to play as well as possible, represent ourselves well and enjoy the experience. We have a mix, we have some college players, two Olympic players who were in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 (Rachel Adams and Karsta Lowe), and others with more experience and some very young, I think it's a good mix. The majority of this team will repeat at the Pan American Games in Lima. "

José Mieles, coach of Puerto Rico: "I have the best talent available for this tournament, it's a good group with a good combination of experience. We always take this tournament very seriously, in preparation for the Pan American Games and for the Olympic qualifier. "
