NORCECA/FIVB Regional Development Center of Volleyball in Dominican
Republic opened a course of Sport Administration for volleyball
managers in the country at a national level.
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, May 20, 2017 - The
NORCECA/FIVB Regional Development Center of Volleyball in Dominican
Republic opened a course of Sport Administration for volleyball
managers in the country at a national level.
The opening ceremony had the presence of many Olympic managers
from the different National Federations.
Victor Gil, acting president of the Dominican Federation
welcomed all the participants and special guests, saying how proud
the Dominican Volleyball is for having a development center which
have had the idea of organizing this important activity. At the
same time, he recognized the support received from the Dominican
Olympic Committee through the chapter of Olympic Solidarity for the
organization of the course.
Antonio Acosta, coordinator of Olympic Solidarity in Dominican
Republic encouraged the participants to get the most from the
different lectures.
Luis Mejia Oviedo, president of the Dominican Olympic Committee
expressed his recognition to the Dominican Volleyball Federation
for being one of the institutions interested in the training of all
the actors in volleyball, and in particular to the effort made by
Prof. Nelson Jose Ramirez in order to have the entity as a role
model for the Dominican sport.
The course has a duration of four days and the items to be
lectured by 16 instructors include: Olympic Sport Profile, Ethics
and Sport, Management of Conflicts and Difficulties, Strategic
Programming and Team Work.
The course concludes on May 21.
