SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, September 15, 2016 - A record
thirteen female participants are taking part in the International
Coaches Course Level I currently underway at NORCECA/FIVB Regional
Development Center in the Dominican Republic.

thirteen female participants are taking part in the International
Coaches Course Level I currently underway at NORCECA/FIVB Regional
Development Center in the Dominican Republic.
Almost half of them are former and current players of the
Dominican Women's National team.
Former setter Juana Gonzalez and outside spiker Nurys Arias are
joined by current setter Camile Dominguez, defensive specialist Ana
Yorkira Binet and spikers Prisilla Rivera and Gina Mambru.
"We are pleased about having so many female participants," said
Nelson Ramirez, director of the Development Center. "It is very
important to incorporate more female coaches in our national
teams."
The course is under the direction of Brazilian Antonio Rizola
Neto, Puerto Rican Juan Cartagena and Dominican Wilson Sanchez.
Rizola also expressed satisfaction for the female participation
and highlighted the importance of players taking these courses as
they prepare for the future.
