Volleyball Development Center in the Dominican Republic
successfully completed the National Coaching Course with massive
attendance of 103 participants.
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, April 4, 2016 - The Regional
Volleyball Development Center in the Dominican Republic
successfully completed the National Coaching Course with massive
attendance of 103 participants.
Female's representation in this group was 27 women coaches who
are ready to implement the knowledge acquired in their provinces,
municipalities and clubs.
The participants received instructions from the directors of the
course Juan Cartagena of Puerto Rico, Wilson Sanchez of Dominican
Republic who were assisted by the local coaches Juan Batista and
Jonas Tayson, and attended field practices to acquire the knowledge
to start careers as volleyball coaches.
Within this group the most outstanding participants were with
the Carmen Rosa Caso Sierra, Ramon Alberto Mota Paulino and Audrey
Lehoux Miniño with the top three notes in the same order, who were
rewarded with magnetic boards donated by Cristobal Marte Hoffiz,
President of NORCECA Confederation.
In the closing ceremony Mr. Angel Rivas, technical vice
president of the Federation urged participants to put at the
service of volleyball the acquired knowledge in their provinces and
municipalities since FEDOVOLI, has launched this training program
under the direction of the Regional Development Centre to ensure
that volleyball remain the leading sport in the Dominican Republic
at national and international levels.
He also expressed his gratitude to the NORCECA the contribution
made to the FEDOVOLI by the Regional Center led by Professor Nelson
Ramirez, who successfully organized this course.
