TIJUANA, Mexico, November 5, 2015 - An International Level II Coaches Course reached its successful conclusion at the FIVB Regional Development Center in Baja California.

A total of 12 coaches from eight different countries received certificates after following the course given by instructors Antonio Rizola Neto from Brazil and Jorge Perez Vento from Cuba.

"We feel satisfied with all the work done here at this center and with the activities registered over the last 11 days. We congratulate all of you for taking one more step in your careers and at the same time we feel honoured to have two volleyball legends and two great friends like coaches Rizola and Perez Vento here," said High Performance Director Cesar Osuna Brambila.

Coaches from Argentina, Cuba, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Nicaragua, México, Trinidad and Tobago, and the United States were able to test and upgrade their knowledge during theoretical and practical sessions, with their participation being evaluated by the instructors. The course participants were also able to work alongside members of the team in Baja California who manage Mexico's national volleyball teams, who regularly practise on the premises of the High Performance Centre.

"This has been a wonderful course. I feel satisfied and so glad to work with you and also with such a great friend of mine, like Antonio Rizola," said Perez Vento. "In fact, this is the first time we have worked together on a course after knowing each other for such a long time."

The closing ceremony also served to reward the three coaches with the highest results in the theoretical exam. The following participants received distinctions: Hugo Jovan Sanchez from Mexico, Mario Romero from Costa Rica, and Eduardo Murguia from Mexico.

"The best reward for us in the near future will be to see you coaching and sharing this passion for volleyball around the world. [...] I was here many times as coach. This was my first course as an instructor and I have enjoyed this great experience," Rizola remarked.
