Coaches’ Course Level I conclude in Costa Rica

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica, November 4, 2014 – The International Coaches Course Level I in San Jose, Costa Rica concluded successfully with instructor Juan Cartagena of Puerto Rico, giving credit to the National Federation of Costa Rica for the good level of organization during the course.

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica, November 4, 2014 - The International Coaches Course Level I in San Jose, Costa Rica concluded successfully with instructor Juan Cartagena of Puerto Rico, giving credit to the National Federation of Costa Rica for the good level of organization during the course.

The activity, supervised by the NORCECA/FIVB Regional Development Center in the Dominican Republic ran from October 17-27 with 23 participants hailing from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama and Costa Rica as host country.

"All participants worked very hard individually and also as a team and showed solid knowledge of the game," Cartagena said. "I also want to congratulate the national federation for its great collaboration."

Jose Luis Jimenez Lao, president of the Costa Rican Volleyball Federation, encouraged the participants to continue improving their skills to become coaches of high level and improve the level of Costa Rican teams, in the particular case of the local coaches.

He also praised and expressed his gratitude for the support offered by the Regional Volleyball Development Center in the Dominican Republic and promised to continue requesting for new courses in the immediate future.

Jimenez Lao also thanked NORCECA Confederation and FIVB for their efforts to help the National Federations to increase their organization and competitive level.
