SANTO DOMINGO, July 8, 2013 - The
FIVB Regional Development Center in Dominican Republic will conduct
an international course for candidates and international referees
at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center under the supervision of
Venezuelan technician Yeivic Jimenez.
To continue to be on line with the
advances of the new technology the course is associated with the
interpretation of the new volleyball electronic scoring sheet and
will be conducted from July 16 to 20 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Nelson Ramirez, the director of the
Center, commented the course is motivated due to the celebration in
Dominican Republic of one of the stages of the Grand Prix from
August 2 to 4 with the participation of the women's teams of
Serbia, Czech Republic, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic.
"That will be the first opportunity
to use the obtained knowledge in an official competition," Ramirez
said.
As of today it has been confirmed
the participation of the members of the Dominican Association of
Referees and Scorers and representatives from La Romana, Santiago,
La Vega, Baní, San Juan de la Maguana, Higüey, Moca, San Cristóbal
and the Distrito Nacional, with the support of NORCECA Volleyball
Confederation presided by Cristobal Marte Hoffiz.
